Privacy Policy

ORVEXIA ABA Professionals ("we", "us") runs an educational website for people studying for the RBT, BCaBA and BCBA certifications. This policy explains, in plain terms, what we collect, why, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Information we collect
- Account information. First name, last name, email address, and the role you select when you register.
- Sign-in with a provider. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider. We never receive your password.
- Contact form. First name, last name, email address, phone number and the message you write. These are stored so we can reply to you.
- Newsletter. Your email address, only if you subscribe.
- Study activity. Your answers, scores and progress in the Study Hub, so your progress is kept between sessions and across your devices.
- Purchases. If you buy access, we store what you bought, when, and how long your access lasts. We do not receive or store your card number — see Payments below.
The AI assistant
The assistant is only available when you are signed in. What you type is sent through our own server to Google's Gemini models, which generate the reply. Google processes that text under its own terms as our service provider.
- We do not store your conversations. Our server records only that a request happened — your account, the date, whether it succeeded, and how many replies were generated — so we can apply usage limits and detect abuse. The text of your messages and the replies is not written to our database.
- Attachments. If you attach a text document (PDF, .txt, .doc, .docx), the first 2,000 characters of its text are added to your message and are therefore sent to Google. If you attach an image, only the file name is sent; the image itself never leaves your browser.
- Please do not paste client or patient information into the assistant. It is a study tool, not a clinical system, and anything you type there leaves our site.
What we do not collect
We do not use advertising or tracking technologies. This site sets no cookies of its own, and runs no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising network or session-recording tool. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. The only third-party content ever loaded into a page here is an embedded video player, and only when you open a lesson that contains one — see the Cookie Policy.
What is stored in your browser
The site keeps a small amount of information in your own browser using localStorage: your sign-in session, your chosen language and interface settings, and your study progress. Clearing your browser's site data for this website removes all of it. See the Cookie Policy for the detail.
How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and keep your study progress.
- To answer your questions and messages.
- To provide the study content and, where you have bought access, to know what you are entitled to.
- To send the newsletter, only with your consent, and only until you unsubscribe.
- To keep the service secure, apply usage limits and prevent abuse.
Where your data is stored
- Supabase — accounts, study progress, contact messages, purchases.
- Netlify — hosting of the website itself.
- Google — processes what you type into the AI assistant, at the moment you send it.
- Stripe — handles payments, if and when you buy access.
All four act as our service providers. Data may be processed in the United States.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Your card number is entered on Stripe's form and is never sent to us or stored by us. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and what it was for.
Health information
ORVEXIA ABA Professionals is an educational platform and is not a clinical provider, a healthcare provider, or a HIPAA covered entity or business associate. We do not request, collect or store Protected Health Information, and using this site does not create any clinical or therapeutic relationship. Please do not send us clinical records or identifiable information about a client or patient — not through the contact form, not by email, and not through the AI assistant.
How long we keep it
Account data and study progress are kept while your account exists. Contact messages are kept while we may still need them to answer you or to resolve a dispute. Records of purchases are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by writing to bcbazone@gmail.com. If you delete your account, your study progress is deleted with it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act; we will honour those requests regardless of where you are.
Children
This service is intended for professionals, students and adult caregivers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has registered, write to us and we will remove the account.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change and, where the change affects you, we will tell you by email.
